Female sexuality is no longer a shameful topic reserved for
private discussion. The topic of female sexual behavior is discussed
with regard to a number of diverse aspects, including physical,
psychological, cultural, religious and social. Each of these topics
holds a different level of importance for different women. However, the
area of female sexual behavior is one of the most commonly discussed
areas within this realm. Do you understand all of the circumstances that
can impact female sexuality?
Female Sexual Desire and Female Sexual Behavior
Female Sexual Desire and Female Sexual Behavior
One must look at the topic of female sexual desire and how it
relates to female sexual behavior in order to grasp a full understanding
of it. Sex drive, sexual libido, and sexual desire are all
interchangeable terms. They are all terms that refer to a woman’s desire
to engage in sexual behavior. Without sexual desire, the level of
sexual behavior is often at a minimum and the level of performance is
decreased.
Without the presence of a strong female sexual desire, a woman might not feel the need to actively participate in a sexual encounter. Moreover, she might not feel the need to express her female sexuality. Not only can a lack of female sexual desire lead to the alienation of her partner, it can also lead to the inability to achieve sexual fulfillment through orgasm.
Wide and significant variations exist among women regarding sexual experiences and sexual interest levels. Some women experience a highly active interest in sex, while others have little or no interest in sex. Similarly, some women experience one or more female sexual dysfunctions that may or may not influence them to visit their gynecologist for help.
